Most visitors to Jamaica need no visa, including U.S. citizens travelling for tourism. Consular visa work here therefore concerns nationalities that do require one, along with longer stays for work, study or family. The missions publish a checker, and using it first saves an unnecessary appointment.
Quick facts
Travellers also complete an online immigration and customs declaration before arrival, which is separate from any visa and applies regardless of nationality.

Jamaicans need no visa
A Jamaican citizen travels on a Jamaican passport. Dual nationals deal with the passport section instead.
Emergency travel certificate
Where a Jamaican needs to travel urgently without a valid passport, missions issue a certificate for one-way or return travel, booked through its own appointment form.
CARICOM
Nationals of Caribbean Community states have their own arrangements for entry and stay, which differ from the general rules.
Book the right appointment
The missions use separate forms for passports, visas, lost passports, citizenship and document certification. The wrong form means the wrong desk.
