U.S. documents for use in Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. An apostille is therefore not enough: a U.S. document intended for use in Sierra Leone goes through the full legalisation chain — authentication by the Secretary of State of the state that issued it, then the U.S. Department of State, then Sierra Leone's own consular stamp. The last step is the office above, in person or by post.

Closest is not always correct
Consulates divide the United States into jurisdictions by state, and the office nearest you is not necessarily the one that can serve you. Sierra Leone publishes that division on its own missions' websites; we link those on each office page where the mission has one. For anything that needs you to appear in person, confirm which office covers your state before you travel. For postal services some offices accept applications from outside their jurisdiction and some do not — that one you have to ask.
