This directory holds no record of any Kiribati consular office in the United States. The six procedures below are listed anyway, because Kiribati citizens in the U.S. still need them, but we cannot tell you here where to start one. If you know of an office we are missing, tell us and we will add it.

U.S. documents for use in Kiribati
Kiribati is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. An apostille is therefore not enough: a U.S. document intended for use in Kiribati goes through the full legalisation chain โ authentication by the Secretary of State of the state that issued it, then the U.S. Department of State, then Kiribati's own consular stamp.
Apostille status from the HCCH status table for the Convention of 5 October 1961, checked on 6 October 2026.
