Bruneian Visa Application in the U.S. — 2026 Guide

Data last verified: September 2026 — read the current U.S. travel advisory before travelling.

Americans get an unusually generous arrangement: entry to Brunei without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, one of the longest visa-free allowances any country extends to U.S. passport holders. Confirm it for your trip, but that is the starting point.

Read the travel advisory properly before going. Brunei applies a legal system that differs substantially from American law, including in areas of personal conduct, dress and alcohol, and penalties can be severe. That is a factual matter for any traveller to understand in advance, whatever their view of it.
