Here is the limitation that saves a wasted application: the embassy states plainly that it can only issue tourist and business visas. Work, study and research visas must be applied for directly to the Ministry of Home Affairs in Namibia. Sending that application to Washington achieves nothing.

- Arrange driving documentation and insurance if you plan to self-drive.
